Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 38-year-old Mariatu from Waterloo eastern area in Freetown. She is widowed with three children between the ages of 12 and 18. Her children are attending school.
Mariatu runs a stationery stall where she sells text books, pens, pencils and rulers. She has been running this business since 1994. She works at the business for ten hours per day. Mariatu says that the main challenge to her business is purchasing power is very low.
Mariatu has requested a loan in order to buy more stationery for resale. The extra income from this loan will allow her to purchase more goods to increase her business. In the future, she plans to expand her business into a shop.
She thanks you for your support!
