The group has eight members and is run by a board of directors, with Amalia serving as its president. The businesses that the members of this community bank are engaged in are varied and include: sheep sales, hat sales, food sales, selling drinking glasses, weaving blankets, selling coca leaf and selling fruit.

This loan will benefit these small micro businesswomen. Amalia says that she has been a member of Pro Mujer for two years, having joined through an invitation from a friend who was already a member. Amalia has a small business selling sheep for meat. She says that she set up the business a few years ago with some sheep that her parents gave her as a gift when she had her first child.

Amalia is requesting this loan to increase her working capital. She will buy sheep in the provincial markets and then later sell them in the city of El Alto. This work allows her to make income. She lives with her common-law husband and has two children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Amalia replied that she likes the health services.

Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de ovejas, venta de gorras, venta de comida, venta de vasos de cristal, tienda de abarrotes, venta de pescado, tejido de mantas, venta de coca y fruta

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Amalia es integrante, ella indica que hace dos años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de su amiga que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de carne de ovejas; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió hace pocos años con las ovejas que le regalaron sus padres cuando tuvo su primer hijo.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de ovejas) que adquirirá de las ferias provinciales y lo comercializará en la ciudad de El Alto. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos pues ella vive en unión libre y tiene dos hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el área de salud.
