Sophal is 49 years old. She is married and resides with her son in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling and grinding rice for more than 10 years, earning approximately $10 daily. Her husband is involved in distilling liquor and animal husbandry. He earns about $10 per day. Her son is a construction worker who makes an income of $7 each day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Sophal is requesting a loan of $660 to purchase farmland to use for farming. This purchase will help her acquire the ability to start a new business and generate additional income. In the future, she would like to expand her business and build a new house as soon as possible.
