The main sources of the family’s income are from rice farming and working for others for a fee. Kheng and her husband have been in this line of work for ten years to make a living.
Kheng’s group consists of two members and she has been with VisionFund for three loan cycles. She has successfully used the past loans to better support her family. Now she can earn about 18,000 KHR per day. Now leading her group to apply for a loan, Kheng will use her portion to buy fertilizers, rice seeds and pesticide for her farmland. Kheng hopes to make more income so as to make a better living and keep her children in school.
