Nazaria is very poor and single. She has three children who depend on her income. Nazaria lives in the town of Challapata, in the province of Avaroa Oruro. She works selling chicken-based meals. Every weekend she also has a second job buying and selling 100lb bags of corn, potato starch and wheat. She does both of these jobs all year round. Nazaria is currently looking to improve her quality of life. She is applying for a loan to have working capital so that she can do more of here second job. Her family's efforts brought her to start doing this second type of work. Although the income she earns is not high - she can only pay living costs -, with the loan she will have more working capital and will be able to increase her sales. This will help her business to grow gradually.
