Mary, who is 42 years old, has two children. She owns a house that has no electricity nor piped water. She has a business selling fruit and she also sells vegetables at the market.
Mary intends to expand her business and satisfy her clients' needs. She is asking for a loan of KES 30,000 to buy more mangoes, oranges, bananas and vegetables for sale to earn a living.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
