Ali is a married Lebanese man. He’s 62 years old. He lives with his wife in their house that is located in one of the most beautiful villages in Lebanon. He manages the family’s household. He is working nonstop to give him and his wife a proper life and has been working in his own bakery for more than thirty years. He’s well known for his delicious food. His most popular Lebanese traditional food is the “Manakish”, and it’s baked and sold steaming hot to early commuters. They are loyal to him and always asking for his delightful goods. Today, he has the intention to borrow a loan from Kiva Partner Vitas s.a.l. to buy a new oven to continue production and expand his product inventory. He expects a boost in his business income as he expands his business. In the near future, he has more than a few ideas to help grow his business, and he hopes to take more Kiva loans to achieve his goals, especially with the great result he has obtained from his previous loans.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
