Halima is married and has four children. Two are adults and working, while two still attend school. Halima has had a home-based grocery store for about seven years. Aside from the usual grocery items, she also has a vegetable stall that generates extra income, especially on the weekend. She’s requesting this loan to buy rice, sugar, flour and noodles, at wholesale.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
