Elias is a 36-year-old married man, living with his wife and three children, all of whom attend school.
He has owned a car interior and upholestry repair shop since 2007. His job consists of repairing vehicle interiors and furniture. His wife works as a teacher and has done so for many years.
Today, Elias is asking to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l to purchase required quantities of leather and furniture accessories in order to respond to his client’s demands and make a fair income. In the future, he is planning to open a bigger store to buy and sell additional car spare parts.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
