Ángela, 53, is a woman who is full of hopes and dreams to accomplish. She always believed that having her own business was one of her greatest goals to achieve, and thanks to her efforts, this project is now her most beautiful reality. In mid-2012 she set out to open a business in her home, dedicated to the sale of mobile phone credit, snacks, and candy.
She says that although she is in the introductory phase, she has seen a positive response from her neighbors and people in her community, which motivates her to keep going with her work. Her greatest priority is the education of her 18-year-old son, who will start his university studies soon.
In order to increase the variety of products she offers and to guarantee an education for her son, Ángela has applied for a loan which she will invest in the purchase of merchandise. This will allow her to generate a higher income and to begin making her wishes come true, as well as those of her son.

Asegura que aunque se encuentra en la etapa de introducción, ha visto una respuesta positiva por parte de los vecinos y las personas del sector, situación que la motiva a seguir en pro de su labor.
Su mayor prioridad es la educación de su hijo de 18 años de edad, el cual se encuentra próximo a iniciar sus estudios universitarios.
Con el fin de aumentar la variedad de productos, y garantizar la educación de su hijo, Ángela se encuentra solicitando un crédito que invertirá en la compra de surtido, el cual le permitirá generar mayores ingresos y comenzar a materializar sus deseos y los de su hijo.
This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
