The group consists of eight members and is led by a Board of Directors headed by Sra. Marybel as its president. The members of this Communal Bank engage in various businesses such as working as a mechanic, selling vegetables, selling meat, selling fish, and selling jerky.


This loan will benefit small businesspeople, such as Sra. Marybel. She says that she joined Pro Mujer a few years ago after receiving an invitation from a consultant of the organization who visited her house. Marybel currently manages a business of selling fish. She is familiar with this business because she learned it from her parents years ago. After she got married, her own family worked in this field because it is profitable.


The loan she is receiving now will be used to replace her equipment (through the purchase of fishing nets) by acquiring these items at the nearby community fairs. Afterwards, she makes use of the equipment in her fishing business. Working in this manner enables her to generate income to maintain her household. Marybel is married and has two children.


When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Marybel said that she enjoys the savings.

La A.C. “SAN PEDRO DE HUATAJATA” iniciará el tercer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Copacabana, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Marybel es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: mecánica, venta de verduras, venta de carne, venta de pescado, venta de charque.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Marybel es integrante, ella indica que hace un años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de un asesor de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de pescado; da a conocer que este negocio lo aprendió hace años de sus padres, posteriormente a su matrimonio su familia trabaja en este rubro ya que es rentable.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el mejoramiento de sus herramientas (compra de red de pesca) que adquirirá de las ferias las comunidades aledañas y posteriormente lo implementará en su espacio de pesca. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella es casada y tiene dos hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta los ahorros.
