Helena is 39 years old and lives in Magibi County, which is the largest producing rubber plantation in Liberia. She is married and has three children between 8 and 19 years old. All three of them are currently in school and live at home. Her husband is a Firestone worker.
For the past 15 years, Helena has been selling lappa (traditional cloth), body cream, powder, etc. in the local market. She enjoys the profits she receives from her business. She spends eight hours on her business, and most of the time she uses a taxi to get her goods to her selling place.
Helena is requesting a loan to purchase more lappa, body cream, powder, etc. for her business. Her plan is to build her house.
