Fatu is 26 years old and lives in Magibi County, which is the largest rubber-producing plantation area in Liberia. Fatu is married and has two children aged 5 and 10 years. They live at home, and the two children attend school.
For the past seven years, Fatu has been running a table market, where she sells fresh fish in the community market. She started this business with money given to her by her husband, and she learned this way of selling from her mother. She is appreciative of her business, because it keeps her saving every day and makes her popular. Her plan is to build a house. She is requesting a loan to purchase more fresh fish, to resell at her business table.
