Karbah, age 38, earns an income by selling soft drinks. She has been engaged in this venture for 20 years. Her husband works for Firestone. They live with their three children in Margibi county, which is the largest rubber-producing plantation in Liberia.
Karbah's children are between the ages of two and 18 years old, and the two youngest live at home and attend school. She herself was unfortunate in that she was unable to attend school, but she is determined to see her own children educated.
Karbah is requesting a loan in order to purchase soft drinks for her business.
Her goal is to build a house for the family and to ensure the education of her children.
