Lando is 49 years old, married with five children. He lives in Clarin, Misamis Occidental. To earn a living, he owns and operates an agriculture business, planting and harvesting rice for sale in the local community. He has been in his business for over six years and earns 16,000 PHP every month.
He joined GDMPC in the year 2010, and now he has requested a loan of 18,000 PHP to purchase fertilizer such as manure. His hopes and dreams are to have a better future and improve his living situation.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
