Namie lives in Montserrado County the county of the capital city of Liberia, which is well known as the commercial city of Liberia. She is 32 years old, married, with two children aged 10 and 13 years old, who are in school and live at home.
For the past ten years she has been selling dry fish in the community market. She started this business with the help of her husband and learned this way of selling from her mother. She spends eight hours a day in her business and she uses taxis most of the time to get her goods to her table. She said about herself 'I am business-minded and like my business because it gives me good profit'.
She is requesting a loan to buy more dry fish to expand her sales. She wants to get more money to educate her children.
