Bonifacio
Bonifacio is married and has five children, two of whom still attend school. He lives in a house he owns and doesn't support anyone else other than his children.
He's a civil engineer by trade and works for a transportation company named REMANE. With the current loan he intends to purchase construction supplies (sand, beams, metal sheets, cement, etc.) in order to finish the roof and the plaster in his house.
He would like to someday finish his house and start an income-generating business. For that reason he pledges to repay the loan as scheduled, so he can request more loans from Hluvuku.
The challenge he faces is repaying the loan as quickly as possible so he can request another loan very soon.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
