Sanobar
Sanobar is an experienced teacher, having been in this profession for 25 years. She teaches in her town school. Sanobar has three children, but as she herself says, "I have dozens of children, not just three." Sanobar loves her students like her own children. Her income from teaching used to be enough, but in the last few years, the need for additional income has arisen. Her children are growing up and there are many expenses. Because of this, Sanobar decided to go into the animal husbandry business in addition to her work as a teacher.

Sanobar needs to save up money for her children's education. Her dream is for them to have higher educations. With the seasonal fluctuations in prices, now is an advantageous time to buy up cattle feed and additional cattle. She is relying on MDO Arvand's help and assistance, and she thanks you in advance.

About MDO Arvand

MDO Arvand is one of the leading microfinance institutions in Tajikistan, offering small loans to entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses. This makes an enormous difference in a country, which is not only the poorest in Central Asia, but also home to a population where two-thirds live below the poverty line. Today, Tajikistan's economy literally depends on remittances being sent from family members working abroad in Russia because there are so few local job opportunities.

But Arvand loans have been able to make a difference and change lives. Read about some of the incredible success stories they have seen here in this Kiva blog post: Bringing hope to Tajikistan with Arvand -- one success story at a time.
