Loreta is 67 years old and lives with her husband in Sevan city. Her children are married and live separately from their parents. Loreta is the only breadwinner in her family, as her husband is a first-class invalid and disabled and cannot work. Loreta is an accountant and has many years of work experience. After graduating from the State Economical College, she worked for over 15 years in an insulator factory, at first as an accountant and then as a chief accountant. For the past 10 years, Loreta has worked as the chief accountant at one of the kindergartens in Sevan city and, since 1990, she has worked as a chief accountant at the Culture Chamber of Sevan city. Unfortunately, Loreta's salary is too low. She also has her own business. Loreta rents a stall where she sells office supplies and provides copying and printing services.
Loreta is requesting a 700,000 AMD loan from Kiva lenders to expand her business and buy a variety of pens, pencils, notebooks, copybooks, calculators, hanging files, staplers, and other office supplies for her shop. She will use the anticipated profit from her loan to pay for treatment her husband.
