Maylin is 44 years old, married, and has four children. She lives in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental. She owns and operates a service business, which is laminating pictures in the local community, to earn a living. She has been in business for over six years and earns 14,000 PHP every month.
She joined GDMPC in the year 2010, and now she has requested a loan of 16,000 PHP. She will use it to purchase additional materials for laminating pictures. Her hope and dream is to improve her family's living situation.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
