Boy Jose is 37 years old and single. He lives in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental. He owns and operates a fishing business in the local community to earn a living. He has been in his business for over five years and earns 10,000 PHP every month.
He has been associated with GDMPC since 2010. Now, he has requested a loan of 15,000 PHP, which he will use to purchase fishing tools, such as hooks and nets. His hope and dream is to save money from his business, for use in the future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
