Elmon is 46 years old and lives in West Point, which has one of the most populated and well-known markets in Montserrado county. She is a widow and has three children aged between 20 and 25 years of age. Her children are in school and live at home.
For the past two years she has been selling flour, oil, sugar and rice. One of the problems she faces is the rainy season.
Elmon is requesting a loan to purchase flour, oil, sugar and rice for her business. She likes her business because of the way people respond to it. Her plan is to buy a piece of land and build a house.
