Specioza is married with six children and all her children go to school. Specioza doesn’t take care of any additional family members. She has a business of poultry farming and has been in this business for ten years.
She has applied for a loan of 2,500,000 Uganda shillings from MCDTSACCO to buy more bags of chicken feed, vaccine and chicks. She also generates additional income from a hardware shop. She works in the shop six days out of every week. Her major business challenges include transportation, seasonality and thieves.
She is aspiring of owning 3,000 laying chickens and also to see her hardware shop grow into a wholesale one. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include paying for school fees and utility charges.
