Teopista is married with five children, three of whom go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (grand children). She has a business of poultry farming and has been in this business for 20 years, selling to all categories of people on both a retail and wholesale basis. She also generates additional income from selling chicken feed. She works from home seven days of the week. She has applied for a loan of UGX 2,000,000 from MCDT SACCO to buy more bags of chicken feed. Her major business challenges include transportation, thieves and seasonality. She aspires to own a fully-stocked shop selling chicken feed and also to sell on wholesale only. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and feeding the family.
