Fatuma lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is single with three children and one of them attends school. She is not looking after any other family member.
She has been selling second hand clothes in the market for three years, working six days a week. She has no other source of income.
She has requested for a loan of UGX 200,000 from MCDT-SACCO to enable her to stock more second hand clothes. Her challenges include seasonality, thieves and transportation. Her dream is to own a second stall and buy land out of her profits. She joined MCDT because of the close services and convenience in accessing membership. She rents a house with access to electricity and no piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees, rent and food.
