Mwanakombo is a married woman, aged 37 years, and she has five school-going children. She owns a house with no electricity or piped water.
She has a business of selling dry food at the market. With the loan of Kshs 20,000, she will buy more rice, dry maize, beans and other food items and accomplish her goal of opening a new kiosk.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
