Victoria is a married woman, aged 30 years. She has three children, two of whom attend school. Victoria owns a house that has no electricity or piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
Victoria operates a vegetable stall, selling from her home to her neighbours and passersby. She faces stiff competition from other vegetable operators in her business.
With the Kshs 20,000 loan she wants to purchase sacks of tomatoes, potatoes, fruits and green vegetables to sell.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
