Sr, Diógenes is 21 years old. There are five people in his family, three children and their two parents. They are a simple family with very little money who live in the community of Taboada in the municipality of Mizque, in Cochabamba department. Diógenes works in agriculture and also raises cattle. He grows onions, beans, and potatoes which he sells locally to businesses in Mizque. He is very well respected in the community for his dedication to his work and his sense of responsibility to the care and education of his family.
He and his family live in an adobe house with a bamboo roof and mud-covered walls. Diógenes is seeking a loan to buy seeds, fertilizer, and chemical supplies for his fields. He hopes to improve the standard of living of his whole family.

Trabaja en la agricultura y la pecuaria, produce cebolla, frejol y papa; los comercializa en el mismo lugar donde vive a los comerciantes de la misma población de Mizque. Don Diógenes es una persona muy respetada en su comunidad, por la dedicación a su trabajo y por ser el responsable de la alimentación y la educación de su familia. Tienen una vivienda de paredes de adobe, techo de caña-hueca y revoque de barro, Don Diógenes, está solicitando el crédito para comprar semillas, abonos y agroquímicos y mejorar las condiciones de vida de toda su familia.
CIDRE is a Bolivian microfinance institution with a strong social commitment to the community. It works to provide quality financial services to rural and peri-urban borrowers, focusing primarily on agricultural loans for dairy farmers and micro-enterprises.
