Agnes is a married woman, aged 40, with six children who attend school. They live in their own house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
Agnes operates a water vending business, selling fresh water for sale from home to her neighbours. With the Kshs 45,000 she is requesting, she wants to construct a rental house and purchase building stones and cement for the foundation. She dreams of expanding her business to generate more income and meet her family expenses.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
