Nuru is a single mother of four children and three of her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members. She has a business selling green bananas and has been in this business for ten years. She works at the market six days out of every week and sells on retail basis only. She doesn’t have any other income-generating activity. Her major business challenges includes seasonality, defaulters and thieves.
She is aspiring to become a wholesaler and also to start going to other villages of Masaka for green bananas. She resides in her own house and the family has no access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses includes school fees and medication.
