Rose is married and has six children, only four of whom go to school. She also takes acre of additional family members (two cousins). She has a business selling local gin and has been in this business for three years. She has applied for a loan of UGX 2,000,000 from MCDT-SACCO to buy more jerry cans of local gin. She generates additional income from renting out rooms. She works in a shop that handles rentals and also sells on both a wholesale and retail basis. Her major business challenges include transportation and seasonality. She aspires to build more rental rooms and also to acquire a delivery van to facilitate transportation. She resides in her own house, and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and utility bills.
