Amina is married with five children and all her children go to school. She also takes care of additional family (relatives). She has a business of selling charcoal and has been in this business for 8 years, selling to all categories of people. She doesn’t have any other income-generating activity. She works at the market and sells both on wholesale and retail basis. She has applied for a loan of 1,500,000 UGX from MCDT SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal. Her major business challenges include seasonality and thieves. She is aspiring to sell on a wholesale basis only and also to build rental rooms. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and utility bills.
