Ms Nasira is 24-year-old lady with expertise in hand embroidery. She has been using her skill to provide for her family for many years. Today she is proud to be famous in her community as the best at making beautiful patterns with thread and beads. Five years ago, when she borrowed from Kashf for the first time, she wished to purchase embroidery material. Currently, she requested another loan of Rs 45,000 to purchase more spools of threads with packs of sequins, pearls and glittering material in various colors. She says that the females in her community are becoming demanding with the passage of time and satisfying them is a challenge that Nasira has taken up.

About Kashf Foundation

Kashf Foundation is one of the leading microfinance providers in Pakistan, focused on expanding financial access for poor women across the country. The organization’s economic empowerment program has grown from 913 clients in 1999 to 284,653 clients as of May 2012, with a current outstanding portfolio of US$32 million.
