Aida is 51 years old and lives in Sevan city with her husband, son and daughter-in-law. Her son sometimes is able to work as a waiter. In the past Aida graduated from medical school and for many years worked as a nurse in Sevan’s hospitals.

But after the collapse of the Soviet Union, her husband lost his job. In order to support her family Aida started her own business in 1993 selling fruits and vegetables from a rented shop in Sevan. She buys much of her produce from villagers and then uses the family car to take it to her shop. Aida's husband works with her in this endeavor.

Aida is applying for a 900,000 AMD from Nor Horizon to buy greater quantities of vegetables and fruits to sell. Although the work is very hard, the income makes it worthwhile. It supports Aida's family during this time of economic crisis in the region where they live.
