Peter is a married man with eight children living in Kagadi, Uganda. He trades in agriculture produce and practices farming to earn a living. He has a banana and sugar cane plantation and he uses the proceeds to brew alcohol to sell. Unfavorable weather conditions and stiff competition affects his businesses while his dream is to be the leading farm producer in the region. Peter intends to use the loan to buy maize and ground nuts to sell.

This loan is part of HOFOKAM's program targeting poor and geographically excluded populations in Western Uganda. In addition to loans, it provides social and business training programs to low-income entrepreneurs and their communities.
