Nabil is a 32-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and two children, who are in school. He is the main income source for his family. In 2004, he decided to get involved in the car-trading industry. Due to his talented negotiation skills and friendly personality, he was able to succeed in this occupation. But his financials are hardly helping him covering the high costs of living; that’s why he got his wife’s support in order to bring added income into their life. Today, he is requesting to borrow a loan from Kiva partner, Vitas s.a.l., to purchase some required equipment for his business. His purpose is to improve his cars and secure their transportation features. Nabil is very optimistic and willing to open his own showroom in the near future.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
