The group 'Renacer' (meaning 'rebirth') is comprised of eight hard-working and responsible women, who managed, through all their hard work, to improve their families' lot in life. Maritza is 54 years old. She is married and has two children, one of whom she still provides for. She has owned an internet café for eight years. It currently boasts 12 machines, and Maritza also sells sweets and school supplies, a recent improvement. She is very happy with her achievements. Her greatest wish is to see her children have a career. She asks for a loan in order to keep improving her business, and she will use the funds to buy school supplies to sell, such as notebooks, pens, folders, and the like. Ella Maritza de 54 años, casada con 02 hijos actualmente sigue apoyando a 01 de ellos. Hace más de 08 años que se dedica al alquiler de cabinas de internet, contando actualmente con 12 máquinas, poco a poco ha logrado mejorar su negocio pues también ofrece golosinas y útiles escolares. Se siente feliz con los que ha logrado. Ver a sus hijos profesionales es su mayor deseo. Con el fin de seguir mejorando solicitó el crédito ya que comprará útiles escolares como cuadernos, lapiceros, fólderes entre otros. In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
