The “NUEVO AMANECER” [New Dawn] communal bank will start its first cycle in Pro Mujer as a part of the Patacamaya center. It is made up of eight members and led by a board of directors of which Maribel is the treasurer. The communal bank members' businesses are varied. Among them are: selling food, selling socks, raising cattle, a neighborhood store, construction materials, hand made crafts, making earrings and embroidery.

The loan they will take out will benefit the micro-business people, including the member Maribel. She reports that this is the first time that she has joined Pro Mujer. She joined at the invitation of a consultant from the institution who went to visit her at her house. Right now, she has a business selling socks. She tells us that she started this business years ago when she saw the need among people in the community.

The loan she will take out now is to increase capital by buying socks that she will acquire from wholesalers in the city of La Paz. Later, she will sell them from her own house. This work allows her to generate income to support her home as much as possible. She is in a common law marriage and has three children.

La A.C. “NUEVO AMANECER” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Patacamaya, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Maribel es la Tesorera. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de comida, venta de medias, crianza de ganado, tienda de barrio, material de construcción, manualidades, producción de aretes y bordado.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Maribel es integrante, ella indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de un promotor de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de medias; da a conocer que este negocio lo implemento hace años al ver la necesidad de las personas de la comunidad.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de medias) que adquirirá de las vendedoras mayoristas de la ciudad de La Paz y posteriormente lo comercializará en su propio domicilio. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella vive en unión libre y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el crédito.
