Mugisa is a 58-year-old married man with four children living in Kagadi, Uganda. He deals in juice packaging and processing and has been in business for six years. He is also in a local brew and lodging business. He set up this business to get income to support his family.
Price fluctuations and the seasonal nature of the business affect his business since fruits have two seasons in a year, while his dream is to own a big juice-processing plant. Mugisa intends to use the loan to buy preservatives to use in juice making.
