Tito is 48 years old and married with three children. He lives in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. He owns and operates a motorcycle transport business to earn a living. He has been in this business for over four years and earns 9,000 PHP every month. He joined GDMPC in 2007, and now he has requested a loan of 10,000 PHP to purchase spare parts and tires. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of his family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
