Eron is married with two children. Only one of her children goes to school. She does not take care of any additional family members. She sells charcoal and has been in this business for 5 years. She sells to all categories of people. She does not have any other income-generating activity. She has applied for a loan of 300,000 UGX from Micro Credit for Development and Transformation SACCO (MCDT SACCO) to buy more bags of charcoal. She works six days of every week and sells the charcoal from her home on a retail basis only. Her major business challenges include the transportation of the bags of charcoal and seasonality. She aspires to become a wholesaler and also to build her own house. She resides in a rented house and the family has access to electricity and to piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees, rent and feeding the family.
