Lavrenti is a 57-year-old man. He lives in Melauri village, Samtredia district, with his 54-year-old wife, Nani, and 28-year-old son, Amiran. Amiran is working as an artisan on private orders earning a small monthly salary. The family owns a small plot of agricultural land where they grow different kinds of vegetables. They also have three milk cows and three calves. Lavrenti cultivates the land and harvests vegetables. Nani milks the cows to make cheese. All the products are sold locally at the market and the family makes a small monthly income.
Lavrenti requested a loan to purchase a milk cow so they will be able to make more cheese and sell it locally. This will increase the family profit. Lavrenti plans to use part of the profit to expand their farming and another part to provide better living conditions for his family.
