Mercedes is 54 years old and has three adult-aged children. Despite being a widow, she has the strong determination to improve their standard of living and give her children a better life. She is involved in a hog-raising business to generate additional income. Due to inadequate capital, she is asking for an additional of 10,000 PHP to buy feed, vitamins and additional piglets to raise. Through patience and hard work, she believes that someday, she will make more improvements in the business as well as their quality of living.
