Rehema, 41, is a widow and has three children, all of whom attend school. She is a seamstress who, over time and after getting experience, opened her own workshop. She began with a single sewing machine and now has three.
In the future, her goal is to expand her workshop and to buy more machines and provide jobs for others. She is applying for this loan so that she can buy fabric and thread to keep working and meeting her customers' needs.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
