Merla, a 58-year-old widowed mother of three, has been managing a piggery business for almost two years, earning a net income amounting to Php 2,000 per hog sold. Merla would like to avail a loan amounting to Php 25,000 to purchase hog feeds and hogs to raise. She is hoping that her income will grow so that her business will become more profitable.
