A married father of 12 children, 2 of whom are currently in school, 50-year-old Experito lives in the town of Matugga in the Luwero region of Uganda. For the past two years he has been working hard to manage his restaurant, which sells local food.

To help expand his business, Experito has requested a loan of 2000000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda to obtain a deep freezer; this will help him to generate greater profits and improve his family's living standards. Experito hopes that in the future he will be able to start a small take-away business.

Experito is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like him who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
