Chea E., age 50, is a widow and has five children. One child is married; one is in security; one is a garment worker and the other two work in the Casino. The rice price is currently good in the market and if the family produces more rice to sell in the market they will have more money to support the family. To reduce the expense that Chea always spends to hire a small tractor to plow her farm, she would like a loan from Kiva to purchase a cow. This will help her a lot with the farming, allowing her to grow more rice to sell to support her family.
