Peace is married with one child, and her only child doesn’t go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (her brother). She has a business of a retail shop and has been in this business for five years, selling to all categories of people but on a retail basis seven days out of every week.
She has applied for a loan from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bags of sugar, cartons of salt, boxes of soap, rice and bread. She is aspiring to own a fully stocked retail shop and also to build her own house. Her major business challenges include thieves and the ever increasing prices of commodities in Uganda.
She resides in a rented house, and the family has access to electricity and to piped water. Her monthly expenses include rent and school fees for her brother.
