Jomalyn is 28 years old and is a single mom of 2 children. She lives in Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur and raises pigs to sell in the local community to earn a living. She has been with her business for over 3 years and earns 8,000 PHP every month. She joined GDMPC in 2011 and now she has requested a loan of 10,000 PHP to purchase feed for her pigs. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
