Erlinda is from Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. She is 51 years old. Erlinda is married and has six children. To make a living, Erlinda owns and operates a specialized general store. She has been engaged in her business for five years and earns 20,000 PHP (Philippines pesos) a month for these activities.
In 2007, Erlinda joined GDMPC. She is requesting a loan of 25,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase new items such as candies, Milo, shampoo, soaps, canned goods and rice. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
